Two Arrested in Homicide Investigation

Zanesville, OH- Two Zanesville residents are under arrest and charged in the death of an 80-year-old man.
The Zanesville Police Department said 37-year-old Brittany Cole is charged with murder and gross abuse of a corpse, while 44-year-old David Cole Jr. is charged with tampering with evidence, possessing criminal tools, gross abuse of a corpse, obstructing justice and endangering children.
Authorities said on February 10, ZPD received a report in reference to a potential deceased individual at 1292 Somers Street. Officer obtained permission to search the property and located David Cole Senior in an out building on the property.
Cole Sr. was taken to the Licking County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy and the final results are still pending.
No information as to the manner and cause or death will be released at this time.
Brittany and David Cole Jr. are presently incarcerated at the Muskingum County Jail. Brittany Cole is being held on a $1,000,000 bond and David Cole is being held on a $500,000 bond.
