Three Car Fatal Accident on Interstate 70

Muskingum County- A Kentucky man is dead following a three car interstate accident in Muskingum County. The accident took place on I-70 near mile marker 146 in Hopewell Township, Tuesday night around 9:35.

The State Highway Patrol said 26-year-old Robert Rebitski, of Hebron, Kentucky was killed when a 2023 International driven by 53-year-old James Mumaw, of Chillicothe left the eastbound lanes, drove in the median, traveling into the westbound lanes striking Rebitski’s vehicle and a Honda.

A passenger in Rebitski’s vehicle, George Rebitski sustained non-life threatening injuries. The four occupants of the Honda, Aaron and Sarah Powell and their two children were transported to Genesis Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
