Spring Break Travel Rush Takes Off
ZANESVILLE, OH – As spring break approaches, travelers are packing their bags and heading to sunny destinations.
With flights more heavily booked than usual, airports are bustling, and prices have inched up a bit, but that’s not sopping vacationers from making the most of their time. Susan Irwin, Owner of the Travel Store of Southeastern Ohio, said beach getaways are at the top of the list this year.
“For spring break, Cancun and Riviera Maya are always popular as an all-inclusive destination. Traveling to Florida, if you don’t want to leave the country, is always a safe bet. In terms of beaches, Clear Water, Fort Myers, even the east side of Florida, Daytona and Fort Lauderdale and Miami,” Irwin said.
With the busy travel season, it’s recommended to plan ahead to avoid stress. Arriving at the airport early can help ensure a smooth start to your trip. Travelers are also reminded to keep safety in mind while on vacation.
“As far as safety tips, always be aware of your surroundings, check government websites for travel advisories in regard to any vaccinations or any specific requirements for entry into that country, and make sure you’re aware of that prior to departure,” Irwin said.
