Jury Selection Begins in Linkous Case

Horry County, SC- The trial of an Ohio teenager is underway in South Carolina.

Blake Linkous of Blue Rock, is accused of strangling, Natalie Martin in June 2023 at a hotel room on Maison Drive. Court records show that Linkous is charged with murder.

Authorities said that Linkous and Martin went to the Myrtle Beach area to celebrate graduation with friends. WMBF-TV reported that during a bond hearing, 15th Circuit Deputy Solicitor Scott Hixson reported that Linkous confessed to police he strangled Martin after an argument they had the night before she died. He then tried to take his own life.

The murder trial will begin with jury selection on Monday.
