Helen Anne Rogers, 96, formerly of Toboso, Ohio died early Thursday morning, March 6, 2025, at Hospice of Central Ohio, Newark, Ohio.

Born February 14, 1929, in Toboso, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel Mae (Hitchcock) Varner and a 1947 graduate of Hanover-Toboso High School. She was a faithful member of Toboso United Methodist Church, enjoyed square dancing, walking the mall and taking senior bus trips through the senior center. She was an incredible seamstress taking pride in sewing her children’s clothes. Helen was a great baker, cook, and enjoyed canning what her husband, Charles, gardened. Dedicated to her family, she was a proud wife, mom, grandma, and great grandma.

Surviving is her son, Tony Rogers of Circleville, Ohio; daughter, Sue Grigsby of Nashport, Ohio; four grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Gott, Benjamin (Caitlin) Rogers, Megan (James) McGugan, and Katelyn (Jacob) Muller; eleven great grandchildren; Ethan, Brody and Hadley Gott, Theodore, Josie, Margo and Beckham Rogers, Hudson McGugan, Poppy, Wells, and Warby Muller and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 76 years, Charles Henry Rogers, whom she married on August 30, 1948, and he died on November 18, 2024; daughter in-law, Pamela Rogers; son in-law, Randy Grigsby; and two brothers, Donald and Roy Varner.

The family would like to thank Central Ohio Hospice for their care for Helen during her time with them and their kindness to the family, especially Brian, Ruth, Anna, Julie, and Cindy. They would also like to thank the compassionate staff at Brookdale for the loving care given to Helen.

Friends and family may call from 11am until the time of service at NOON on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 W. Third Street.

Funeral Services will be NOON, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Jacob Muller officiating.

Helen will be laid to rest in Hanover Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toboso United Methodist Church.
