Mark A. Hancock, 63, of Zanesville, died at 2:44 A.M. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born March 24, 1961, in Pataskala, Ohio, a son of the late Gilbert Welch and Rosaline Hancock. Mark was a proud veteran of the United States Army and owned and operated the Bootleg Tattoo Studio in Zanesville for over thirty years, he was well known and respected in the tattoo community for his accomplishments and his work. He loved art, listening to Rock music, scary movies, and collected arrowheads, coins, and gemstones. Above all Mark was very family oriented he did a lot for his kids and grandkids and will be deeply missed by them all.
He is survived by his children; Rebecca (Travis) Alexander, Elaina (James) Meadows, Shawn Hancock, Stephanie Hancock, Sam Hancock, and Roseanna Hancock; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Lauri Presley; a brother Hugh Hancock; uncle, Merril Hancock; and niece, Diana Garges.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his great nephew.
A cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
