Animal Shelter Hopes Bear Finds a Forever Home

The Animal Shelter has been getting to know a Poodle Miniature mix named Bear and they said he’s ready for a family.

Bear is believed to be 16 years old and the adoption fee for him is just 40 dollars. Executive Director Jody Murray said he’s perfect for anyone looking for a new pet.

“As you can see he’s a great little dog, very friendly, very calm, good with people, good with other cats and dogs, just a great little guy and we’re trying really hard to find a home for him,” said Murray.

Murray said it’s vital that the community helps the shelter continue to find pets like bear the home they deserve, so that these homeless animals don’t have to spend their lives in the shelter.

“We just want dogs to have a family,” said Murray. “Being here at the shelter we can provide their medical needs and their food and water but that’s still not the same as having your own family so that’s what our goal is, is to find homes for homeless animals. ”

The shelter is hosting two adoption events tomorrow. First they’ll make there way to North Valley Bank in South Zanesville at 9 a.m.,with some puppies available for adoption and then at 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. they will be at We Love Pets, all in attempt to give the community a chance to meet their next family member.
