Jo Ann Thompkins

Jo Ann Thompkins, 85, of Zanesville passed away at 10:37 am on March 19, 2025, at the Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare facility. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on November 28, 1939, to John J and Margaret (Williams) Kreidler.

Jo Ann attended Muskingum College and was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She taught home economics for Zanesville City Schools at Roosevelt Junior High School for many years.

She had been a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, a life member of the Muskingum Chapter #485 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a past member of the National Bell Collector’s Association as well as Fenton Art Glass Collectors of America.

A private graveside service will take place at the McConnelsville Cemetery. Donations in Jo’s memory may be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter or Christ’s Table. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
