Rotarama ‘25

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Noon Rotary Club will be holding their annual Rotarama fundraiser this Friday at the Secrest Auditorium.

Rotarama Chairpersons Heather Dolen and Mollie Crooks explained how the event that benefits the community can also benefit the participants.  

“Rotarama is our 4th year of putting on this event,” Dolen said. “It’s a concert and a cash drawing with a 50/50 raffle. We’ve got Randy’s Backyard Barbecue, DJ Adonis at 5 O’clock in the basement, Jaycee’s will be there helping with the beer garden and best dressed contest as well. Doors open at 5, 6:30 is when the first drawing begins, 7 p.m. is the concert, when it starts.”

The concert will feature the Ohio based, 80s, dance band, Velvet Crush. Event tickets, which allow you to enter the cash drawings, are $40 dollars and concert tickets, which allow a second admission, are $10. 

“Rotary is an international service club but locally there are two clubs and our noon club, who sponsors this event, has a variety of local projects that we do,” Crooks said. “We’re… for over I think close to 100 years, we’ve done a children’s Christmas party, at Adornetto’s. We do Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies, where we pack food bags for the kids in school to take home for the weekend. Neighborhood Cleanup Day, we try to be also aware of all the things happening.”

Pre Concert festivities, which will take place in the basement, will be accessible through the Shinnick Street entrance, And the general admission concert will be accessible through the 4th Street entrance.
