Jane Carr

Jane Ann Repiscak Carr, formerly of Brockway, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, at Clay Gardens Place in Zanesville, Ohio. She was 84 years old.
Born on April 12, 1940, to the late Thomas and Lucille (Moore) Repiscak, Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, in 2021, whom she married October 21, 1961. Jane graduated from Brockway High School in 1958 and Columbia School of Nursing in Pittsburgh in 1961, dedicating her career to caring for others with compassion and kindness at Maple Avenue Hospital in Dubois. Jane was a member of Morehead Methodist Church in Brockway and Coburn United Methodist Church in Zanesville.
Jane adored crafting, cooking, and baking, particularly during the holidays. This was her favorite time to spread joy by sharing her homemade creations with family and friends. She also had a talent for party planning, bringing people together to celebrate life’s special moments. Above all, Jane’s quick wit and wonderful sense of humor brought joy to those around her, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Music was a constant source of happiness for her, whether it was playing the piano or psaltery or listening to her vast music collection. Over the years, she found great comfort in the companionship of her pets.
Jane is survived by her loving daughter Krysten (Matt) Smart of Zanesville, one sister, Nancy Avery (Linwood Evans) of Laurel, Maryland, and many cherished friends and extended family members.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27th from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Moorhead Methodist Church in Brockway. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Andrew Verner officiating. Burial will be in Morningside cemetery in DuBois.
