Larry Horton

Larry A. Horton, 75, of Senecaville, passed away Saturday (March 29, 2025) at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born January 7, 1950 in Canton, son of the late James H. Horton and Audrey P. (Murrey) Horton.
A 1968 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Larry worked as a foreman at Bi-Con Services for forty-six years. He retired in 2022. Larry was also a welder and a farmer. A steward of the land and forest, Larry cultivated a certified tree farm with his dad, James, and later with his nephew, Levi Arnold. He enjoyed hunting and was especially proud of his Ohio big bucks. He cherished the time he spent farming and hunting with Levi.
Larry had a loved for vintage cars and enjoyed going to auctions and searching for antiques in his spare time.
He was a member of the Point Pleasant Masonic Lodge # 360 F. & A.M.
Larry was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, having served from 1969 to 1973 where he earned the rank of DT3/Petty Officer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mark Fehrman; and his father-in-law, Robert Bennett Sr.
Larry is survived by his wife, Suzanne “Suzie” (Bennett) Horton, whom he married January 1, 1996; his son, Rob (Pilar Mora) Horton; his daughters, Sara (Chris) Danko and Kelly (Casey) Black; his stepson, Alan (April) Call; his siblings, Sandra (Bill) Stoney, Kathy Fehrman, and Leisa (Mack) Chiesa; his grandchildren, Taylor Horton, Colin Horton, Kendal Black, Casen Black, Alayna Call, and Amelia Call; his mother-in-law, Janet Bennett; his sister-in-law, Tammy Hewison; his brother-in-law, Bob (Tamala) Bennett; and several nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (April 2, 2025) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where Masonic service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Evan. Mark Beros officiating.
Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Larry’s name to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
