Corey Kent to Perform at 179th Muskingum County Fair

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Fairboard has announced this year’s headliner for the fair.

Coming to grandstands for the 179th annual Blue Ribbon Fair on Thursday, August 14th, is Corey Kent. Kent, originally from Oklahoma, is an up and coming singer and songwriter.

Kent describes himself as an “old soul,” and says his music is an intersection of rock infused country, heartland values and red dirt grit.

John Graham, the President of the Fairboard, said Kent has a number of songs that he’s ready to share with the community.

“It’s country, western of course,” Graham said. “He’s not Rock and Roll, but he’s got a little bit more calm, country music and then he’s jazzed it up a little bit.”

Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Saturday, April 5th, at 9AM and can be purchased by heading to the Muskingum County Fair’s website. Tickets for the grandstands are $25 and for standing room only on the arena track they are $35.

Jerry Miller, the fairboard treasurer, said he hopes the community enjoys Kent’s music and makes another life long memory at the fair.

“I just hope they have, the people that come on Thursday night to the concert enjoy their time at the fair,” Miller said. “And then take in the rest of the fair too.”
