Studio Blu Under New Ownership

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce welcomed another business into the community this week with the transfer of ownership of an established hair and beauty salon. 

Zanesville Studio Blu Owner Cheyenne Matz talked about the excitement of following her dreams into becoming the owner of a business. 

“I went to Mid-East,” Matz said. “Lenny Rosser gave me the education that I needed. Then I started at Brenwood Hair Salon and they put me through an amazing program to help me grow and to build myself. And that led me to being so successful in the 16 years I’ve been doing this.”

Matz has had a passion for cosmetology since she was a child and believes that keeping up with education and industry trends play an important role in the operation of her business.  

“So, Traci Baker and Connie Cover have owned the business. So it’s been here for 23 years. They presented me with the opportunity of purchasing and I took advantage of it. So as of December 1st, I was the owner and I just hope to continue to carry on the legacy that they’ve created,” Matz said.
