Zanesville, Tri-Valley Swap Football Divisions
The playoff picture just changed for a quartet of local football teams as a result of the OHSAA revising enrollment counts for the second time this year.
Students at charter schools and STEM schools are no longer counted, so the Zanesville Blue Devils are dropping to D-III with a revised count of 354 boys. The Tri-Valley Scotties are moving up to D-II with a count of 361 boys, just one above the cut line of 360.
Coshocton and Newark Catholic also find themselves changing divisions. The ‘Skins are back in D-V and the Green Wave is back in D-VI.
Tri-Valley is also changing divisions in girls’ basketball, moving from D-I to D-II. The New Lex Lady Panthers are also dropping down, moving from D-II to D-III.
