Zanesville Police Investigating a Church Break In

The investigation continues into a weekend robbery.

It happened at the Muskingum Valley Vineyard Church on Putnam Avenue. The church reported the break in Sunday morning.

Zanesville Police Captain Tony Coury said it appears the trespassers broke through an outside storage area. After which, they made away with several items.

“It looks like they just grabbed whatever the could of value. Some electronics, looked like some ipads, mini ipads and maybe a laptop computer,” Coury said.

He added that detectives are attempting to follow up on some information found in the investigation. However, he said, there aren’t many leads at this point. He just warned people in the area to stay aware of their surroundings.

“We want the overall general population and the Zanesville public to know if you see somebody in your area, keep an eye out for your neighbor and just if you see something suspicious, call.”

With any information in this case or others, Coury said you can call the police department at (740) 455-0700.
