ZPD Searching For Burglary Suspect

Zanesville Police are looking for a suspect after an early morning break-in. Captain Tony Coury says between 6:30 and 7:00 Wednesday morning employees showed up for work at AAMCO Transmission at 765 Linden Avenue and startled someone who was burglarizing the business. Captain Coury says the suspect was attempting to steal tools and cash from the register when the employees arrived. He fled from the building. Police called in their K-9 unit who led officers to an apartment complex at 518 McIntire Avenue. Officers searched two downstairs apartments but were not able to locate the suspect. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Zanesville Police.
