Z-ville Man Pleads Not Guilty in Meth Case

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says the Zanesville man charged in connection with a bust that netted four pounds of methamphetamine made a court appearance Wednesday.  44-year-old Walter Lee Coffee was arraigned in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court and plead not guilty to 19 counts including possession of drugs, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and money laundering. The bust happened earlier this month at 924 Ayers Street. The Muskingum County/Zanesville City Joint Drug Task Force reported that officers also seized six firearms, two vehicles and US currency. Judge Mark Fleegle continued Coffee’s bond at $1,000,000
