Investments Committee Meets For August Meeting

The County Commissioners met for their monthly Investment Committee meeting Monday.

Treasurer of Muskingum County, Chris Hamill said there are CD’s that will be maturing in the months of September and October. The purpose of the meeting was to decide what dates to renew them for. The investment committee decided on option two, which allows the first bond to mature in December.

"This will give us a little bit of flexibility to have them maturing at different times of the year." Said Hamill, "So if the interest would change, that will give us a chance to renew those CD’s."

Hamill said rates have been flat as of lately. The next meeting will be held on September 24.
