United Way Kicks Off Campaign Week
The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties is kicking off its campaign week.
This year’s Campaign Kickoff Week features a variety of events, including Wednesday’s “Kickball for a Cause.” Executive Director, Meg Deedrick told us she’s excited to have an entire week dedicated to strengthening the community through different activities and events.
“Tomorrow is probably the most fun we’ll have all week, because that’s going to be a kickball game at the Fieldhouse, and that’s with all of our different partners, people with all different kinds of abilities, all different ages are going to play a kickball game at Century Field,” Deedrick said.
The United Way’s mission is to help families thrive by meeting their essential needs in the areas of income, education and health. Deedrick said campaign week is a time to celebrate all of the investments they’ve made in the community.
“Our kickoff event Thursday is going to be in Perry County in Crooksville at the home dedication, and a family will receive the keys to their home, thanks to Habitat for Humanity, and of course Habitat is now a partner with United Way as well,” Deedrick said.
