Port Authority Discusses New Business
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority met Wednesday for its weekly meeting.
Executive Director, Matt Abbot said they’re continuing to discuss plans to bring new businesses into the area. He told us major decisions will be made in the next 12 months regarding land for businesses ready to settle down in the county.
“A lot of what we talked about was some of the phone calls that we’ve been getting, some of the inquiries we’ve been getting, some of our properties, some of our land here in Muskingum County, continuing to follow up on those, things that make us positive as a community,” Abbott said.
Construction has already begun for Fyda Freightliner, a new business that’s expected to bring 60 new jobs into Muskingum County.
