Pet of the Week: Digger

The Animal Shelter has a new fury friend this week that would make the perfect addition to your family.

This weeks “Pet of the Week” is an adorable shih tzu-mix named Digger. Digger has been at the shelter for quite some time and is ready for companionship. He’s a tiny pup with a lovable personality. Rescue Coordinator, Charity Stevens, said he gets along well with both people and other dogs.

“Digger is up-to-date on all of his vaccines, he’s been heart worm tested and it was negative, he’s been neutered, up-to-date on all the other vaccines, micro-chipped,” Stevens said.

Digger is a sponsored dog, so his adoption fee is just $40, plus the cost of his license. To see dogs just like Digger, the Animal Shelter is having a special adoption event Saturday.

“We’ll be at Tractor Supply this Saturday from 10-2 and we’ll have lots of cute puppies there, so stop on out and see one that you might want to take home,” Stevens said.
