Job Fair Thursday in Zanesville

For those looking for employment, the Muskingum County Job Fair is just a few days away.

There are currently hundreds of job openings in Muskingum County, and more than 30 businesses will seek candidates this Thursday at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center. Century National Bank, Zandex Healthcare, and Fanatics are just some of the big name employers setting up shop.

“They’re looking for talent, all different kinds of positions, all different sorts of industries and businesses, everything from services to manufacturing and everything in between, there are a lot of jobs available right now,” said Chamber President, Tom Poorman.

If you’re new to the job scene, the fair is a chance for you to get face-to-face with actual employers. Job seekers should bring multiple copies of their resume and are encouraged to dress to impress.

“There are places to work in Muskingum County, our unemployment rate is as low as it has been in many, many years, and the downside to that is it makes it harder for employers to find talent, but that’s why we do events like this,” Poorman said.

The job fair is this Thursday from 2 p.m. until 6, at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center.
