Gas Leak Causes Evacuation

The Zanesville Fire Department responded to a large natural gas leak Tuesday morning. It happened near 1404 Maple Avenue after a gas line was accidentally cut. Fire fighters evacuated a nearby house for a short time while crews worked to stop the leak. Columbia Gas was also called to the scene and repaired the severed line. There were no injuries reported.
