Forever Dads 6th Annual Golf Fundraiser

To celebrate fatherhood, Forever Dads had their annual golf tournament at Eaglesticks Golf Club Friday afternoon.

This is the organization’s biggest fundraiser and with 29 teams this year has been the most successful yet. For 6 years forever dads has been bringing the community together for a great cause and hopes to continue to do so for years to come. Tee-off was at noon and those involved sat down for a nice lunch together and much more.

“We have our ball drop where we have 500 numbered golf balls. We’re going to put them in the bucket in the backhoe and fling them out on the green. The closest one to the hole is going to win $1,000. We have a hole in one contest, $10,000 for a hole in one on #10, prizes for all the other holes, door prizes galore. It’s just going to be a good day for everybody” explained Forever Dads Board Member Allen Bennett.

We caught up with board president of forever dads to find out why he loves being a part of all this:

“I’m very passionate about my children and I want other fathers to share that passion and have that same love but forever dads can provide the skills. When you have a child they make you watch a five minute video on how to give them a bath and put them in a car seat and send you on your way and you’re kind of on your own so this helps that a lot with helping dads get ready for what’s coming their way” said Ben Hess.

Forever dads would like to thank all of their sponsors and encourages everyone to come out for next year’s tournament to support a great cause.
