Two Dead in Morgan County Crash
UPDATE: 4:14Â Two Morgan High School students are dead after a two car accident in Deerfield Township, Morgan County Friday.
The Marietta Post of the State Highway Patrol said that they reported to the call just before 4 p.m. that afternoon. 21 year old Kelsey Turner of McConnelsville was driving a 96′ Buick Regal westbound on State Route 37. A 17 year old male of Chesterhill was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry eastbound on 37. The preliminary investigation indicates that the male lost control of his car on a wet roadway, going left of center and was struck by the Buick. Turner suffered only minor injuries.
The male driver of the Camry and his 16 year old female front seat passenger were seriously injured and transported to Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. The two backseat passengers in the Camry were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither of the two killed were wearing a seat belt. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
The Marietta Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a double fatal accident. Â It happened Friday on State Route 37 in Morgan County. Â The Highway Patrol has not released any other details from the accident which remains under investigation.
