Zanesville Community Enjoys Last Minute Heat
It may come as a surprise that it’s the beginning of October considering Thursday’s high reached almost 80 degrees. We caught up with the Y-City community to see how they’re enjoying the last precious moments of fun in the sun.
While a few trees have taken notice of the calendar and begun their fall fun, people on the other hand, are simply still in summer bliss, which means the Genesis Fitness Trail is still bustling with walkers from the hospital and community. We caught up with dad and daughter duo Rick and Ronia Bradshaw who walk everyday. Rick is on a weight loss journey and said he’s enjoying his last days in the summer like heat.
“We’re just getting a couple laps in on the trail, focus on fitness and enjoying this beautiful weather before it’s getting a little too cold to be out here in a T-shirt,” said Bradshaw.
Today the temps were high but we are expected to see that fall air take full effect in the coming weeks. Ronia said that although the weather is beautiful today she is ready to get into the autumn spirit with family.
“I like to rake up leaves and then dump them on my brother and jump on them,” said Ronia.”My favorite part about it is watching the leaves turn the different colors and then falling down and sometimes my grandma and I, we will go and find leaves and sometimes decorate the house with them. It’s really cool.”
Meteorologist Matt Albanese said that the heat is above average for this time of year and we should get out and enjoy it while it lasts.
