Local Merle Norman Reaches Milestone

A local cosmetic store is celebrating 30 years of beauty bliss in Zanesville.

Merle Norman first opened its doors back in 1985 and has been thriving ever since. In honor of this milestone, the store is offering a variety of specials and giveaways as a way to give back to its loyal customers.

“Some of the specials are we have free products and we have white balloons around the store that tell you what you get free with a purchase of say a moisturizer, a lip-color, eye-color, and then also any receipt today goes in for a drawing for $400 gift basket we’re giving away tomorrow night,” said Store Owner, Sharon Shaner.

The company, as a whole, has been specializing in skin care and make-up consultations for almost 85 years….and it isn’t just make-up, the store also has an exclusive wig line. Shaner said Merle Norman differs from other cosmetic studios, as it takes pride in its slogan “Try Before You Buy.”

“When customers come in, they can try everything before they buy it, we always offer free makeovers, free express steam facials, and it’s a way for customers to experience the products, and get our expertise, and then they can make a wise purchase,” Shaner said.

The final day to take advantage of the Merle Norman’s 30th anniversary event is Saturday, you can stop in anytime from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
