Barbershop Celebrates Grand Opening
A local barbershop celebrated its grand opening with a special ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday.
“Prince of Cuts” is now open for business in downtown Zanesville. Owner Prince Fields, formerly of Zanesville’s Finest Barbershop, has been cutting hair for years and tells us he was ready to branch out on his own.
“I’ve been cutting for eight years and I just figured it was time invest in myself and open up chairs for other people, and give other people opportunities to have jobs in our community,” Fields said.
And it isn’t just hair cuts, the shop also specializes in beard and mustache trims. “Prince of Cuts” marks the 217th business open in downtown Zanesville. Fields said when it came to picking a location for his new venture, settling in the city’s rich, historic district was a no-brainer.
“It feels amazing, it lets me know at 217th that there is a lot of opportunity down here, and that businesses are continuing and growing, I’m not the first one, and I’m not going to be last one, so I feel great,” Fields said.
“Prince of Cuts” is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6, Saturday from 7 a.m. until 6, and Sunday by appointment only.
It’s located at 52 South 6th Street.
