Meet Gronk! This Week’s Dog of the Week
ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Dog of the Week hasn’t won a Super Bowl but he will win your heart.
Meet Gronk! He’s 2 and a half years old, kid and dog friendly and is awaiting his forever family.
Doug McQuaid, a volunteer at the K-9 Adoption Center, said Gronk is a high energy pup and found out through his time at the center that he loves a good game of fetch.
McQuaid also said they recently hosted a field trip group at the Adoption Center and Gronk was the talk of the town.
“He did amazing with a group of kids that came here on a field trip to help us out and clean,” McQuaid said. “Just do the odd jobs we asked them to do, and they did fabulous. So I feel like with all those things he has going for him, he’d probably be a great dog and probably even loves riding in a car.”
McQuaid also talked about an Egg-cellent event coming up to help support the Adoption Center.
On Wednesday, April 16th at 4PM in the Renner Theater, they will be hosting the Paint with Paws fundraiser and adoption event.
“Tickets are $15 for the painting party and it goes on wooden Easter Eggs,” McQuaid said. “10% of all the money raised will go towards the Adoption Center. So that’s something and we’ll be there, we’ll have dogs with us so you can interact with them, talk to us about the other, different dogs we might have.”
Also from now until the end of the month, when you adopt a dog from the Adoption Center your pup will get to go home with their very own Easter Basket filled with goodies.
