The Inauguration of Dr. Chad Brown

There was a very special ceremony at Zane State College this afternoon.

Today, Zane State College swore in Dr. Chad Brown, officially making him the 6th president of the college. Brown has been with the college for roughly 11 years, and a history of success is what brought him to his new position. The ceremony was held today in the Campus Center at 3 p.m. Dr. Brown told us he had to make some important sacrifices to get where he is today.

“I think anybody that advances in their career, the scarifies they’ve made has been their family and personal life. You spend a lot of time in school completing the doctorates so yea, you add all those things up and it is a big sacrifice. He went on to say, “it is a big sacrifice, but i have a wonderfully supportive spouse who is also in academics and it’s been really easy to do with her support.”

During Dr. Brown’s time at Zane State, the college has been recognized nationally for its student success initiatives and also acknowledged for the data driven culture on campus.

“The facility and staff at Zane State College is second to none and our students are really here and you see the work that you are doing making a difference in their lives everyday, and that really is fulfilling.”

A reception was held there was a reception that followed the ceremony in the cafeteria of the Campus Center.
