Celebrity Waiters Raise Money to Support Women’s Club

The Zanesville Business and Professional Women’s Club hosted its very first annual celebrity waiter dinner Thursday evening.

With faces like Rob Sharrer and Captain of the Lorena Bill Paige, six men in the community came out to Bryan Place and waited tables in order to raise money for programs that the professional women support.

Funds raised will help Elliot Scholarships, Buckeye Girls State, Transitions, and other organizations that promote women’s health, well-being, equality, and education. Chair of the event April Cohagen Gibson said having a club for women to be a part of is key for our community.

“Anytime you bring people together and you network, that’s education,” said Gibson. “Education is one of the greatest things, and one of the greatest gifts we can give and particularly young women today, being a part of several women’s groups that’s how you share. ”

Gibson said the club hopes to continue this tradition in the future.
