The Animal Shelter Society is happy with auction turnout

ZANESVILLE, Ohio -Â The Animal Shelter Society had a very successful auction fundraiser this past weekend.
280 people attended the major fundraiser, helping the non-profit organization. They rely heavily on the community for funding, and Executive Director, Jody Murray, wants to thank those who came out.
“We raised slightly more than we did last year, and that’s always a good thing. It seemed like people had a great time. Our number of corporate sponsors was greater than last year, so everything about the auction this year seemed to be up. Numbers were better than last year,” said Murray.
All of the money raised at the auction stays here in Zanesville, and goes right to the homeless animals. The auction featured items from local artists and sports memorabilia.
The Animal Shelter Society is excited to plan next year’s event.
