Glen K. DeLong, 74, of Zanesville, passed away at 2:05 p.m. Friday April 11, 2025 after fighting a battle with cancer for 1 ½ years. He was born on October 3, 1950, in Zanesville, a son of the late Wingard and Phyllis (Satterfield) DeLong. He was a welder by trade at Sands Mining and Oxford Mining. When not a work, his garage was his happy place. He married Marsha K. Baker on March 7, 1970 and they had 55 years together. Besides his wife, he leaves behind his daughter Julie (Ed) Leedom, his son Chris (Tara) DeLong. Grandchildren Kristen (Max) Harmon, Sarah Hill, Chase (Lana) DeLong, Rachel Hill. Great-granddaughter Karley Harmon and soon to arrive great-grandson Owen Harmon. His siblings Janet (Michael) Clark, Darin (Mindy) DeLong, Gary (Nan) DeLong. Several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws Bob and Wanda Baker. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday April 14, 2025 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 15, 2025 with Chaplain Jason Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Fultonham Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry County Cancer Alliance P.O. Box 724 New Lexington, OH 43764.
