United Way Spring Funding Cycle

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The United Way of Muskingum Perry and Morgan Counties offers support to several local nonprofits that provide help to many area residents.

United Way of MPM Community Impact Coordinator Katie Grubbs talked about their Spring Funding Cycle and how local nonprofits can reach out to apply for funding.

“So United Way has a Spring Funding Cycle that nonprofits and 501 (c)(3) organizations can apply for funding to, you know, impact the community and make our community better,” Grubbs said. “So United Way does focus on three different areas; health, education and financial stability. So if you have a program or your agency has a program that is kind of improving any three of those areas, then we want to partner and we want to join forces to ensure that our community is improved by our donor dollars.”

The annual United Way Spring Funding Cycle supports several area organizations, including; Habitat For Humanity, the Salvation Army, YMCA, Zane State, Jobs and Family Services, as well as mobility management agencies. Grubbs says the United Way is always looking for ways to expand their impact throughout the area.

“So we do have an application on our website, unitedwayofmpm.org,” Grubbs said. “It’s a fairly simple application but we also want to make sure that we’re available for any questions as well. So if there’s an agency that’s applying and they have questions, we really recommend that you reach out to me and I can help as much as possible. Once that application is filled out and submitted, we do have an investment committee and the investment committee will then review and make recommendations to our board.”

The deadline to apply for the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties Spring Funding Cycle is Friday, April 18th, and more information can be found on their website or by calling (740) 454-6872.
