Harley Bethuel Dalton, Jr., 72 of Chandlersville Ohio, fondly remembered as ” Dude”, passed away April 11th, 2025 at his home. Dude was an accomplished, retired laborer for underground utilities with Laborers International Union Local 530.
Dude took great pride in helping and caring for his entire family. From small projects to wiring and plumbing entire houses, he was always there to help out his local family and his sisters in Cleveland. He is golden to us all.
He enjoyed gardening and fishing, playing his bass guitar, singing and playing in many local bands for several years. He was also a great cook!
Dude graduated from Tri-Valley High School and attended Ohio University in Athens Ohio.
Dude is survived by his former wives, Pam Kelly and Susie Browning, and his children, Abbie (Craig) Ivey, Dustin (Stephanie) Brannon, Harley B. Dalton, III and Cody (Megan) Dalton. Grandchildren Brandon and Brice Day, Grace and Beau Brannon, Madison (Caleb) McPeck, Harley Dalton, IV, Olivia and Scarlet Dalton and great-grandson Waylon McPeck. Brothers, Sheldon (Debbie) Dalton, Tom “Poncho” (Patty) Dalton, Ralph (Jill) Dalton, Cass (Diane) Dalton, and sisters, Melanie (Tommy) Richardson and Misty Dalton, and former companion Vickie Lewellen.
Dude leaves to cherish many great memories with lots of nieces and nephews, Stacey, Amy, Kelly, Ericka, Chris, Ashley, Kerry, Tommy, Casey, Joey, Cree, Amber, Autumn, Ralphie, Cassandra, Kandice, William, Keisha, Kia and many more great nieces and nephews, all of whom adored him.
Dude was preceded in death by his parents, Harley B. Dalton, Sr. and Lillian Bellito Dalton.
Dude touched many lives with his kindness, great wit and easy laid back gentle ways. This family loved and adored him. We love you Dude! We will miss you forever! Rest easy and thank you. Forever in our hearts.
