Animal Shelter Featuring Grey Tiger Maine Coon Cat
Goliath is one of the newest fury friends at the Animal Shelter in need of a new place to call home.
The two-year-old domestic Maine Coon cat features a colorful tabby coat, with long and silky fur. Do not let his unusual size fool you, the 13 pound feline is a gentle giant who is very friendly with people and other animals. Executive Director, Jody Murray, said Maine Coons have a life-expectancy of about 15 years.
“This particular cat, their breed is a very friendly breed, and a calm breed, they like to be around people, I’ve actually had one of these cats and she lived to be about 18 years old,” Murray said.
Goliath is up-to-date on vaccinations and his adoption fee is only $60. The Animals Shelter’s upcoming Open House is a little more than a week away, and Murray said it’s the perfect time to stop in and see what they have to offer.
“December 5 is our Christmas Open House, starts at 10 o’clock, we’ll have cookies and punch, crafts for children, we’re going to have some discounted adoptions that day, just a lot of activities,” Murray said.
The Open House is free admission and runs until 2:00 p.m.
