Sherryl Harlan

Sherryl Lynn Harlan, 77, of Frazeysburg Ohio died Wednesday afternoon April 23, 2025 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
Born October 4, 1947 in Cambridge, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late John and Frances (McCallister) Watson and a 1965 graduate of John Glenn High School. Sherryl was Methodist by faith and a long-time member of the Frazeysburg Lion’s Club. She enjoyed the sunshine and being outdoors, fishing, lounging by the pool and tending to her flower garden. Sherryl like to go to yard sales and travel whenever she could. Her favorite destinations were Georgia, Florida, and York Town, Virginia. What Sherryl loved the most was her family. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and loved to spend time with them all.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen S. Barnhart of Dresden and Rose A. Barnhart of Frazeysburg; three step-sons, Brian (Tracey) Harlan of Kingsland, Georgia, Roger (Amysta) Harlan of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Steven (Christina) Harlan of Decatur, Georgia; step-daughter, Casey Allen of Durham, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Raine (Timothy) Shawler, Bobby Sarver, Brandie Pickett, and Allanna Harlan; ten great grandchildren, Shiloh, Zadian, Bryson, Juliet, Elijah, Colton, Carter, Junior, Dalton, and Journey; two brothers, Mike Porter and John (Shelia) Watson, both of New Concord; two sisters, Patricia and Carol Anderson of Boston, Massachusetts and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Harlan whom she married October 22, 1976 and who died January 17, 2023; a daughter, Carrie L. Pickett and a sister, Maxine Tracy.
Friends and family may call from 2PM to 4PM Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Homes, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Harlan officiating.
