Storybook Christmas preparations are starting

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It may not be Halloween just yet, but that doesn’t matter for Muskingum County is gearing up for Christmas.
Chamber of Commerce Vice President, Kelly Ashby, said that the community has already started planning for this years Storybook Christmas and it’s now bigger than ever.
This is our third year for Storybook Christmas so 50 participants the first year, 80 the second, over a hundred this year,” said Ashby “So many activities going on and some of those activities have been happening for years and some of them are activities and events that are happening because of Story book Christmas. So it’s just a great way for us to collaborate with the community, with the businesses, with the organizations about what is happening to celebrate the holidays.”
Ashby said that everyone is having fun meeting, planning, and talking about the upcoming events and that this couldn’t happen without everyone’s support.
“There are just so many partners and players that make this happen,” said Ashby “We are just fortunate that we get to coordinate it and we get to talk about it, but there are so many people involved and so many businesses and organizations that make this to happen and so I think it’s just exciting for our community.”
The kick off event is the Courthouse lighting on November 30, 2016.
