Willie “Ray” Hale, 73 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 24, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on February 26, 1952, in Madison, West Virgina, son of the late Hanious Hale and Goldie Hale. Ray was a truck driver for American Transportation for over 20 years, where he earned 1 Million Miles without an accident. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He loved attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and loved ones.
Willie is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathy (Goodman) Hale; 3 children: Nicole (Kyle) Drain, Cory Hale, Larissa Hale; grandchildren, Easton, Carter, Ava, Tobin, Leland, Kyler, Jayce, Brayleigh, Braxton, Bentley; sisters, Lois Tabley, Cathy Jackson; special friends, Keith (Michelle) Knox, Doug Watkins; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; special dog, Bella.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Hale; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Hale.
Calling hours will be held on Monday April 28, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Bonnell Cremations Funerals Receptions, where services will be held at 7:00 PM with Kyle Drain officiating. The family encourages visitors to wear their Cleveland Browns or Ohio State Buckeye attire. A dignified cremation will take place following services.
The Hale family would like to thank Guernsey Hospice for the care received by Ray.
