Christ’s Table Gears up for Thanksgiving
Visitors of Christ’s Table will be treated to a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings this Thursday.
Christ’s Table will be providing turkey dinners to those in need from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. For those who may not be able to get out of the house this Thanksgiving, volunteers will deliver the hot meals right to your doorstep through the organization’s home bound meal service.
“We want to give a big shout out to the Zanesville Jaycees, for years they have been coming in and delivering for us so that our volunteers can be home with their families on Thanksgiving Day, so we want to thank them,” said Executive Director, Keely Warden.
Warden said Christ’s Table has received numerous donations this year. On Monday, the food pantry received another generous contribution, as the Ohio Stave Company donated 13 additional turkeys to help feed the less fortunate. Warden said volunteers will be serving all of the thanksgiving favorites, from turkey and dressing to yams and pumpkin pie.
“We want to put a huge thank you out to the community that’s really pulled through for us, I mean the turkeys have come in, the dressing has come in, the rolls have come in, the pumpkin pie, and even the whipped cream for the top of the pie has come in, so we want to put a huge thank you out there to the community,” Warden said.
Christ’s Table plans to deliver more than 200 home bound meals on Thanksgiving Day. For more information about the home bound meal service, contact Christ’s Table, at (740) 452-9766.
