Local Dentists Come Together to Brighten Smiles
A local dental practice is providing free services to those who may not otherwise be able to afford care.
From simple cleanings to x-rays and exams, “Tune Up Your Smile” is hoping to bring healthy smiles to those in need this holiday season. Although the services will be free for the one-day event on December 4, they do ask for a donation of $25. Doctor Andy Fuhriman said the practice will match every dollar received to give back to Christ’s Table.
“From 7 o’clock until 2 in the afternoon, we see as many patients as we possibly can and provide all the services, we ask that they bring in a $25 donation for Christ’s Table, so that day we don’t bill any insurance, we don’t do credit or debit card, it’s cash or a check,” Fuhriman said.
Over the past four years, the practice has raised nearly $20,000 for Christ’s Table. This year, Fuhriman said they hope to see 100 patients. If you forget to set up an appointment, Fuhriman said you will not be turned down, as walk-ins are welcome.
“It’s really fun, and we get to see a lot of people, we have a few people who are our regular patients who come in, but most of it is people that have been living with a toothache or a problem, and this is their one opportunity to come in and get something done for a lot less of the cost that it would normally be,” Fuhriman said.
Christ’s Table Day is December 4 at “Tune Up Your Smile” on Brandywine Boulevard in Zanesville. To set up an appointment, you can contact the dental practice at (740) 454-1167.
