Christmas at the North Pole
Looking to add a little spice to your Christmas tradition? Maybe you should take your family to the North Pole.
The Chamber of Commerce in Nelsonville is hosting its Annual North Pole Nelsonville. This event lasts for an entire month and it’s a perfect way you and your family can celebrate the holiday season.
“The energy is fantastic. especially at Christmas; just with all of the event’s. Because, literally you go from store to store. You can go to the Nelsonville aquarium and pick up hand made pottery. Then you can go a production at Stuart’s Opera House. You can ride the train. You can go see Santa in his workshop and get a photo of your kids with Santa for free and there’s your Christmas card for the year,” said Milligan.
This event has been going on for over 10 years it started off small but it has grown bigger and better each year.
“Whats different this year is not only is Santa going to be in his workshop for the kids to come and see but, also there is going to be a Christmas store in the front that has handmade merchandise, some local merchandise as well as Christmas ornaments and some holiday craft type Christmas ornaments. There will also be Christmas food there as well,” said Milligan.
The festivities kick off Friday December 4th at 6 p.m with the lighting of the square. For more information visit their website at nelsonvillechamber.com.
