12th Annual Farm Show in Dresden

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – One local family is helping locals see what it was like to farm in the past.
The Moore family started the Country Crossroads Education of Yesterday program and they’ll be holding their 12th Annual Farm Show from Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Co-organizer, Kendra Hindel says there are many activities for families to choose from.
“Our main purpose is to restore the old farm machinery and teach the younger generation how things were done in the past,” said Hindel. “We’ve got a large selection of antique equipment, construction equipment that work in the fields.”
Children can see how farmers pick soy beans and corn. To see the grounds without walking the farm show will have two operating trains, one for just kids and the other for anyone. Hindel said they are also bringing in the Dresden Fire Department on Saturday.
“There is going to be a huge display of tractors, trucks, cars, fire trucks from all around the area that a lot of our participants come but we also get some that come from out of state so it’s just one of them things that gets bigger every year,” said Hindel.
The Country Crossroads of Yesterday can be found by State Route 16 and 60 in Dresden. For more information contact the Moore family by calling (740) 754-6248.
