Pet of the Week Looking for Family

The Animal Shelter is working hard to give animals in need the perfect Christmas gift– a forever home.

Timmy is a loving, short-haired, 7-month-old male with a beautiful multi-colored tabby coat. Executive Director, Jody Murray, said this energetic feline is very feisty, but gets along well with people and other animals.

“As you can see he’s very inquisitive, he likes to listen and see what’s going on, but a very nice cat, his adoption fee is $60,” Murray said.

If you’re interested in making Timmy a part of your home, Murray encourages stopping by the Animal Shelter’s Christmas Open House Saturday to take advantage of their discounted adoption fees.

“You can get 10, 20, 30 or even 50 percent off all our adoption fees tomorrow, starts at 10 o’clock, we’re going to have cookies and punch, we’ll have crafts for for kids,” Murray said.

Also, if you’re looking for a way to give back this holiday, the shelter just unveiled its Christmas Giving Tree. If you’d like to make a donation, you can stop by the shelter anytime during business hours to select an ornament.
