Beck Wisecarver’s Lil Christmas Miracles
One Zanesville resident is using her past misfortunes as inspiration to bring warmth to others this winter.
Beck Wisecarver organized a community out-reach service called ‘Beck Wisecarver’s Lil Christmas Miracles.’ Several of her close friends and volunteers helped her to hang hundreds of coats, gloves, and scarves throughout the downtown area. There was a note attached to each item that read “if you are cold please take this item to keep you warm, Someone loves you.”
“Since I lost my parents, I found myself. And I just wanna make change in our community because, the homeless people need it. I want my friends and everybody here to help with having a lending hand. We collected brand new hats, scarfs and gloves. We’re going to hang everything up downtown for strangers, and the homeless. We are just trying to make this town better for us. I have such supportive friends. It gives my life, a meaning to live,” said Wisecarver.
Wisecarver told us it only took a couple of days to gather all of the clothing and accessories. She said she lost count of all of the items after she reached 500.
