Terry’s Tavern Presents Check to The Salvation Army

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business has been raising funds for a special cause.

Terry’s Tavern wanted to ensure our children stay warm this winter. They’ve been collecting money for winter coats for less fortunate children throughout the year. Friday, they presented The Salvation Army with a generous donation. Mike Mohr is one of the owners of Terry’s Tarven. He said doing this every year makes him feel good.

“I would encourage anybody, businesses, or individuals” said Mohr, “It’s a good avenue to help the community out and it will make you feel good. I can’t stress enough. 100% of your donation goes to the kids.”

The Salvation Army Program Director Dustin Redmond accepted this donation on behalf of The Salvation Army.

“It’s a great feeling and it’s because it’s going towards the kids” said Redmond, “Terry’s Tarven is a wonderful business. They have great owners and great employees. It’s nice to be able get a donation from them and support from Terry’s Tarven to be able to help the kids who are in need of winter coats.”

If you would like to donate to The Salvation Army you can do so by stopping by their office on Putnam Avenue.
