Patrol Investigates Hazmat Incident

Muskingum County- The State Highway Patrol is investigating a hazmat incident in Muskingum County.
It took place at the intersection of State Route 83 and State Route 93.
The Patrol said two tanks containing herbicides were being hauled on a Heritage Cooperative straight truck when they fell off the truck and emptied their contents on the road and surrounding area.
One tank contained Round Up Power Max 3 and the other was Class Act NG.
The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency was called to the scene along with the Ohio Department of Transportation and Heritage Cooperative personnel.
Others at the scene included the State Patrol, Adamsville Fire Department and the New Concord Fire Department.
