Arrest Made in Suspected Arson

Perry County- An arrest is made in a suspected arson fire to a restaurant in Perry County.

The New Lexington Police Department announced Monday that a male subject was arrested in connection to the fire at Dodson’s on Broadway.

Authorities said the man was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville.

The case remains under active investigation by the New Lexington Police Department in coordination with the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office.

In a Facebook post the restaurant’s owner said the business will be closed a month or two because of the damage caused. Over the weekend they said a fire in a shed next to the restaurant spread to the restaurant itself.
