Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests of Two Coshocton Residents

COSHOCTON, OH– The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that felony drug charges have been filed against two Coshocton residents.

Authorities said 45-year-old, Dustin W. Dobson of Coshocton and 37-year-old, Amanda M. Weidger of Coshocton were each formally charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a Felony to the 1st degree.

On May 14th at approximately 10:05 P.M., The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on South 15th Street near the intersection of East Main Street.

A K-9 was deployed for an open-air sniff of the vehicle that resulted in a positive alert. The vehicle was search by detectives that resulted in finding suspected methamphetamine and cash currency.

Dobson and Weidger were taken into custody as a result of the search.

Assisting with the investigation is the Coshocton County Prosecutors Office, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and Princes Wrecker Service.
