Charges Filed in Arson Investigation

New Lexington- The New Lexington Police Department announces charges in a recent restaurant fire.
29-year-old Dylan Davis, of New Lexington, faces charges of aggravated arson, arson, vandalism, burglary, breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools in connection to the fire at Dodson’s Restaurant on Broadway.
Police said a search of his residence recovered clothing seen in video footage. All evidence was transported to the State Fire Marshal’s Office for analysis.
The fire at Dodson’s on Broadway took place during the morning of May 11. Police said thanks to cooperation of businesses in the area they were able to obtain and review hours of surveillance footage and were able to identify the suspect based off previous encounters.
Davis is being held in the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville.
